Career Expo ? Technical Writing

After attending the Career Expo on Wednesday, I was left with a better understanding of the professional world that awaits most graduates after college. As I am a Midshipman in the NROTC unit here at ERAU, I was not actively looking for a job, but I was exploring the different career choices that would suit me if I leave the military and do not make a career out of it. I did speak in depth with the Marine Officers that were at the recruiting booth regarding the pipeline for the pilots, and gained?excellent?insight on how to excel at flight school, and what it takes to become a career Officer of Marines. I also now have a better understanding of how the government pay scale system works for the civilian side; I asked this question?at the Naval Aircraft Systems booth. I enjoyed seeing how many opportunities there are for students at our school; the Boeing and General Dynamics booths in particular had massive lines?queuing?up ?that took up the whole aisle. Overall it was a very professional and informative environment that the school provided for the employers to search for potential employees.
