The Ford F-150 SVT Raptor is a special beast. No other factory truck out there can take the off-road abuse at the speeds the Raptor is capable of. Unfortunately not everyone? can handle the Raptor, and so Miller Motorsports Park in Utah opened up the Ford Racing Raptor Assault School to help drivers make the most of the Raptor?s off-road abilities. This week on Wide Open Throttle, host Jessi Lang attends the Raptor Assault School to learn the off-road techniques needed to get the most out of the Raptor.
Lang starts in the Raptor Assault School?s classroom, where an instructor teaches the class the do?s and don?ts of off-roading in a Raptor. Next, it?s off to the hill-climbing portion of the class, where students drive the mostly-stock Ford F-150 SVT Raptor up and down steep (and blind) grades, before moving on to practicing whoops and jumps. Finally, the class finishes off on a 700-acre mixed-terrain course at the desert facility.
