Are Windows Phone apps less useful than iOS or Android?

I read an article today titled ?Windows Phone Apps May Look Stunning, But iPhone Apps Are Still More Useful? on Business Insider and it got me thinking; surely, they can?t be right? can they?

I agree that Windows Phone apps do indeed look better, but do they really have less functionality than iOS or Android apps? I?m not so sure they are right in saying so?

I first looked at Last.FM on WP7 and when I compared it to iOS and Android, what struck me straight away when I look at the competitor versions is the Android version is virtually identical to iOS in every way, whereas the WP7 version is uncluttered and instinctive to use, with no core features missing at all!

This opinion is true of many apps I have looked at, the only mobile OS that appears to want to stand out from the crowd is Windows Phones, and it?s an opinion I have had ever since the first moment I was introduced to my first Windows Phone. The Metro UI is simple by design, yet feature packed and the same has to be said from its apps. It seems that Google only want an Apple clone. However Microsoft wants to break the cycle and give us something unique and simple to use.

So I return to my original question, are Windows Phone apps less useful? Not in the slightest.
