The Durham Performing Arts Center will present Steve Harvey Live: The Grande Finale, starring the controversial 55-year-old Atlanta, GA-based African-American comedian Steve Harvey, at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11th, in its 2,700-seat, state-of-the-art theater in the American Tobacco District in downtown Durham, NC. The host and star of The Original Kings of Comedy (2000), Harvey is also a film and television actor, television and radio personality, and host of ?Family Feud.? His much-anticipated live performance, co-starring Brunswick, GA comedian Danny Clay and Houston, TX comedian and actor Kier Spates, is SOLD OUT. DPAC says Clay will begin the show at 8 p.m., followed by Spates at 8:15 p.m. and Harvey at 8:35 p.m.

According to the Durham Performing Arts Center:

?Steve Harvey is a media conglomerate, personified in a man whose career began as a stand-up comic in the mid-1980s. His success in stand-up eventually led to a long stint as host of ?It?s Showtime at the Apollo.? That led to multiple TV shows and movies, serving in various roles ? acting, hosting, writing and producing.

?[Harvey] starred on TV in ABC?s ?Me and the Boys,? [and] the WB shows ?The Steve Harvey Show? for six seasons and ?Steve Harvey?s Big Time Challenge? for two seasons. Harvey also hit the big screen in movies, such as Love Don?t Cost a Thing [2003], You Got Served [2004], Johnson Family Vacation [2004], and Madea Goes to Jail [2009]. Recently, Harvey celebrated his 11th year as longtime host of BET?s ?Celebration of Gospel.?

?Currently, Steve Harvey is [in his second season as] the new host of the long-running syndicated game show ?Family Feud? ?. His presence since his debut as the new host in September 2010 has rejuvenated the series and increased ?Family Feud?s? TV ratings this season by more than 40 percent.

?In September 2000, Harvey created the nationally syndicated ?Steve Harvey Morning Show,? which currently airs Monday-Friday at 6-10 a.m. EST in over 60 markets and has approximately seven million weekly listeners. Syndicated by Premiere Radio Networks, the number-one-rated show celebrated its five-year anniversary with Premiere Radio on Oct. 3, 2010.?
