Honestly, I think internet marketing is one of the greatest startup business ideas out there. Even if you?re working with a tight budget, like most small businesses are. I have three tips for you to consider when you start marketing online:
1. Use pay-per-click advertising, but be smart about it. With most small businesses working with a tight budget, you have to make sure the money you spend is worth it. Give pay-per-click a try and keep your eye on the returns. Using it may or may not pay off but you?ll never know until you try.
2. Search engine optimization is a great marketing tool for small businesses. Unlike pay-per-click advertising, you are almost guaranteed that the money you spend on SEO will be worth it. You want to make sure that the content on your website is optimized to its fullest potential for search engines, making it easier for people to find your site. In order to do this you will want to use keywords, the use of keywords can?t be emphasized enough. Without them, your site will not be recognized. There are plenty of places out there offering business startup help, if you need it, use it.
3. Become popular. Another way to get search engines to recognize you is by getting other websites to link to yours. This will increase your websites popularity and help your site get noticed.
