iPhone 5 Pre-Order UK

I'm in pretty much the same situation as the OP, I have an iPhone 4 on its last legs (home button doesn't work half the time, only one charge cable works with it :S).

What I'm planning to do is pre-order the 5 from Apple Sim-free (hoping to buy a 64GB version for around ?700) and then go on an o2 simplicity deal for 12 months.

This way, if Apple do release a 5S this time next year I have an option to buy it (at a cost obviously). As in i'm not tied into a contract with a network.

I've never pre-ordered an iPhone directly with a carrier before so I don't know what their launch stock/delivery services are like, but i'd imagine if you pre-order asap when pre-orders go live you should have it pretty much at launch.

Just depends on how much ??? you're willing to part with, and what cost plan you want to go with. I'm paying a lot up front but less every month (for hopefully around 2 years), but with a contract you don't pay up front but pay bigger money PM.

Hope this helps OP.
